Please enjoy some photos of my work !
Holidays also mean a lot to me when it comes to creating environments to enjoy with those you love. Our homes are indeed a place to enjoy our lives with those we love.
A Place of Solace
A few years ago I was helping take care of my very sick father and found this great loft apartment in the little town where he lived. It was a hidden gem and brought great solace at a time of such loss. While there I staged it and had it featured in a home magazine.
Projects can last for years:
I have worked on and off with these clients over many years. Their children were toddlers when we began. Spaces that fill over time have a more timeless feel to them. They have great taste, buy quality and enjoy their spaces. They are very family oriented with their home often filled with extended family.
Refer to my blog post, "How to feel like you are always on vacation" for the full scoop on this delightful spot.
Every family has its' own footprint...
I come to love my clients and their families. This family moved to the country and built their lives around cute little grandchildren. We moved some walls and created a book nook where they can lay down and read on lazy summer days. The adults are near by in this great room. Whether they are watching the fire, tv or doing family puzzles, there is room for all.
Did I say party?
I love to plan for special occasions in clients' homes. This was the 82nd birthday of someone dear to me. Complete with a luncheon for extended family and friends.
Holidays...need I say more?
I enjoy holidays. Over the years I have found what works for me. Family time!!!
That special reason you live where you do...
I purchased my home as a foreclosure. It was in terrible shape but the one thing I loved was the floor to ceiling windows in the living room and kitchen areas. In the fall I feel like I live in a tree house with these beautiful maples all ablaze. We all need that sense of warmth and peace to fall back on...no pun intended!
